| You wake as your body gives an involuntary jump. You remember vaguely that you felt like you were falling; it's a common enough sensation, but this time you note a tingling of panic in your diaphragm and you get the feeling that you were much closer to hitting the ground than usual. The sound of a crow cawing brings your attention away from the thought of sleeping and to the fact that you aren't anywhere you recognize. In fact, you aren't even in a bed. You shift on the hard floor, feeling the cold of the black marble under your fingers. The fact that the place you were laying is warm says that you've been sleeping here for quite some time, but you can't remember ever falling asleep. As if on cue, a crow sounds off next to you. You turn to look, and see the bird has brought something; a golden ring, with an obsidian centerpiece. You pick it up as it drops it at your feet, and immediately, the obsidian begins to glow yellow. When you run your finger over it, a screen appears in mid-air in front of you, projected in a gold light from the center of the obsidian. A message displays in thick, block letters. "Welcome to Korbinstadt. Say hello." -- Korbinstadt is an original pan-fandom horror game set in Korbistandt, the city of the dead. Characters will be expected to live their lives in a casually morbid setting with the occasional life-threatening situation, all while being watched by the mysterious (and somewhat obnoxious) crows that rule the city. |
